Let's Go Retro
Updated: May 25, 2022
The first A | O Weddings + Events Styled Shoot is in the books! I couldn't be more happy with the way it turned out. My team of talented vendors knocked it out of the park!
Just as I was getting married, and I was in the thick of wedding planning, I told myself "no more planning for a while." Then, about 2-3 weeks after I get married, I find myself itching to do another. I had just started my full-time position as Event Coordinator at Gateway Classic Cars and began building this little planning business of mine. And here I am scrolling through Instagram trolling for vendors and creating my moodboard on Pinterest. I will say, I had the most fun planning this Retro Styled Shoot at Gateway Classic Cars! Anyone thinking of planning a styled shoot, DO IT! They are so rewarding and you get to meet so many talented industry professionals.
Pops of Color

Bright vintage vibes. That was my muse. Paired with classic cars - a match made in heaven. Luckily, at my day job there was a surplus of those classics at my disposal. A 1960's Catalina made for the PERFECT backdrop to the head table. I mean, isn't it just 😍😍 And a round of applause for those florals 👏 Wildflowers in St. Louis, MO knocked it out of the park! I can't get enough.

Sweet Tooth
I am guilty of having a major sweet tooth. So, of course, I had to incorporate it into my styled shoot. DUH! I had met this sweet couple at a wedding show that owns an ice cream cart, Sling 'n Scoops. They immediately popped into my head for a unique dessert twist 🍦 That, plus a grazing dessert wall from Tasty Stations (who I used for my own wedding) and a beautiful cake from Erin’s Creations, who has delicious desserts. Ah! Perfection! That surely satisfied my sweet tooth 🦷

All The Vintage Vibes
My goal for this styled shoot was to bring together a great team of vendors, collaborate, have fun and create great content! Mission accomplished. The shoot was a blast, everything turned out beautifully despite the weather (possible tornados), and I got to meet talented event professionals and expand my network. It as a great day and I can't wait to work with these beauties again!
